This is a 4 week leisurely cruise with the opportunity to do all or part. I have two crew for two parts and am open to one more.

We will be starting in Georgetown, Exuma on April 15, stopping at Conception, Cat and Eleuthera islands, and arriving in Marsh Harbor, Abaco on May 10. Along the way the main things will be sailing, snorkeling and exploring ashore.

The boat is well equipped 2011 Elan Impression 444. I've sailed her 5000 nm and a total of 17,000 nm. This passage will be all day sailing except for possibly one overnight. Crew must have at least basic experience sailing and not afraid of rough water out of sight of land.

Although I have a route planned, day to day activities are decided by the entire crew. I'm looking for crew that are low maintenance and easy going. Please no type A people.

It is a shared expense trip. I estimate that the cost will be $25 per day. That includes food aboard excluding alcohol (you provide that), fuel and any moorings/docks.

I'm 69, fit, and love the cruising life. I'm married but my wife is currently working but will be joining me in the Abaco.

Google my name and you will find many hits on my previous life as a backcountry skier and President of Snowlands Network. You might even find one or more of my stories about sailing as well as mention of the books I have written.

I will have good internet access through April 1 and then again after returning to Georgetown on April 10. I do have phone service once we make contact.

May the wind be at your back ... actually I prefer it on the beam!

Hi Marcus, your program in the Bahamas seems interesting. I am french Canadian living in Ottawa and |I did some sailing in the Bahamas in the past (Georgetown to Nassau) I am interested to do some sailing in Abaco in May. What are you planning to do after Abaco? I am an active sailor and own my boat usually based in Kingston, Ontario.  You can get more information on my  meetup (https://www.meetup.com/Sailing-adventures/) . Thank you,

Patrick

Patrick,

Sorry but you are late given that I was supposed to depart on the 15th. Due to weather I did not leave then but I'm leaving tomorrow so it is not possible for you to join me.

Marcus

If you have used Float Plan to find a boat or a crew member, or had a good experience using the website, being part of the community or you just love what we are trying to do (make sailing accessible to everyone), I would really appreciate a quick note that I could use as a testimonial on the new website. Thank you, Andrew
