Hi Dana,

My e-mail is imanoutdoorgrl@y******** if you would like to e-mail me.  I am not a smoker, 49 y/o, speak English and a little Spanish.  I spent 26 years in the US Navy and was out to sea on a few large ships.  I started sailing about 20 years ago on small boats and now own a 30' Hunter.  I have transited the Panama Canal back in 1991.  Loved it.  I am not a diver but I am a Lifeguard and used to Lifeguard for a friend who owns a dive shop.  lol!!  I've watched them for months and am sure I could do it.  Maybe I'll give him a call and set up a certification.  ha!  I've been to Cuba, (only on the US side) but since I'm retired, I am looking to spend the winters in the CarIibbean sailing, getting more experience.  I cannot do the 9-5 office job. I can also not spend another winter in PA. Those 2 things do not work for me.  After spending 2 weeks on the Chesapeake Bay, I'm ready to keep going.  I'm used to standing watches around the clock and cleaning and doing maintenance.

I would take my boat but my husband is taking the mast down for the winter and replacing the port lights and doing some water tight work over the winter so maybe next year I'll have her down south for the winter.

I have been retired from the phone co. for 11 years; My job was out side installation and repair ,first of phones , then of data. I loved the job, all outside, in a truck , climbing poles, up on roofs under houses. I am not a delicate flower. I prided my self on excellent customer service and quality work. I left there with a pension and health benefits.

For the last 9 years I have been a full time RV’er. My first rig was a 27’ foot 5th wheel which I lived in for 7 years in an RV park in Apache junction AZ ( winters only). Also I owned 2 different pop=up campers and now own a lance 9’6” camper, a Carolina skiff 17’ , with a 70 hp Suzuki engine. I am used to being in small spaces and being on the road…LOVE it!
Last summer I hikes !00 miles and 30 days by myself in Yosemite on the john Muir trail , it was great!
This winter I had the opportunity to travel on a 27’ ketch, Second Summit. We were out for almost 2 months. My job was cook and watch. My sailing experience is limited but I want to learn and have that be my next adventure. I have never been a professional cook, but really enjoy creative and healthy eating. I am organised, and trained in kitchen cleanliness from my time at the RV park. Please keep me in mind when you get ready to pick a crew. thanks, lisa
