I have experience sailing around the coast of Norway on short trips with friends and family. But I love sailing and really want to do more of it. Just haven't been able to, as I've been moving around the world and travelling a lot lately and spend most of my outdoor recreational time on rock climbing.
I am a musician and guitar teacher, big jazz fan and also into all kinds of music. I'm very sociable and like new experiences and really enjoy learning and thrive in new situations that I know I'll remember for the rest of my life. So far, my biggest experience in this category was working on a cattle farm in the outback of Australia for three months. On my to-do list is crossing the Atlantic Ocean in a sailboat and volunteering in South Africa doing construction.

I am looking to sail from the east coast of North America to Europe before my Canadian visa expires in the middle of November of 2017, but as close to that as possible. But I understand that hurricane season is still in effect until the end of November. I'm not sure if taking the southern route is enough to avoid that or if anyone would like to share their experiences/knowledge as to whether it sounds like my timeline sounds realistic.

If you have used Float Plan to find a boat or a crew member, or had a good experience using the website, being part of the community or you just love what we are trying to do (make sailing accessible to everyone), I would really appreciate a quick note that I could use as a testimonial on the new website. Thank you, Andrew
