French man living in Ireland for 10 years, I have decided to retire (or at least for couple years) and explore some parts of the world. To truly experience distances and appreciate the journey, I wish to follow one rule being not to take any planes.
Between November and December 2015, I completed the first step of my journey as a crew with a sailing school from Vigo to Dakar via Lisbon and Tenerife. During my three weeks at sea, I got the opportunity to approach the main concepts inherent to offshore sailing (seamanship, navigation, nightshift, etc...).
After meeting in Dakar two Flemish people who had cycled from Belgium, I decided to buy a bike and go exploring Africa. And I must say the adventure has been incredible so far!
I am currently looking for a boat crossing the Atlantic. The departure can be anywhere from the southern coasts of Africa. The destination can be anywhere in America. I am flexible and available from November 2017.
Reliable, hard-worker and easy going, I am keen on helping with any aspect of the everyday life on-board (I love cooking). I will of course participate to the cost relative to the journey.
Thank you in advance for getting in touch with me should you require an additional crew member.
Hoping my profile will appeal to you.

If you have used Float Plan to find a boat or a crew member, or had a good experience using the website, being part of the community or you just love what we are trying to do (make sailing accessible to everyone), I would really appreciate a quick note that I could use as a testimonial on the new website. Thank you, Andrew
